IPX opens "Line Friends Square Shibuya" in Tokyo, Japan... Visitors flock to NewJeans collaboration

IPX (formerly Line Friends), a digital IP entertainment company, announced that it has opened a new regular store called Line Friends Square Shibuya in Central Tokyo, Japan. In particular, as part of the NewJeans' IP official products business, it unveiled "Supernatural Pop-up," where you can meet the collaboration of Takashi Murakami and Fujiwara Hiroshi, who participated in NewJeans' Japanese debut album.


To enter Line Friends Square Shibuya, more than 600 people lined up in less 30 minutes before the opening, and reservations for on-site visits were closed in an hour. The first day pop-up pre-booking attracted local fans, foreign tourists and media, continuing the pop-up craze in NewJeans in Japan.





Line Friends Square Shibuya is the official store of Line Friends Square that IPX introduces for the first time overseas. It is located in the core commercial district of Shibuya, where people from all over the world gather to lead fashion, entertainment, and culture trends, and is expected to be a hot place where Japanese fans who like characters and foreign tourists can meet all the most popular global IPs. It is designed as a space where you can feel a more trendy and differentiated IP experience, such as global popular IPs such as Line Friends original characters, Minini, BT21, and Usamaru, as well as new IPs related to various popular artists including NewJeans.


The pop-up, which will be held until the 15th of next month, was newly introduced by IPX by combining Takashi Murakami's signature character flower with Tokki, symbol of NewJeans.


It also unveiled a collaboration product between NewJeans and Hiroshi Fujiwara, NewJeans' team name and member's handwriting, written by Hiroshi himself in Korean, English, and Japanese, wet with IPX's creative and completed various fashion items such as trendy T-shirts bandanas, and baseball caps. The most eye-catching pop-up first basement floor has an interactive media experience space where visitors can immerse themselves in characters and artists.


An IPX office said, "Based on IPX's own IP business know-how over the next decade. We wu continue to develop IP businesses globally that can experience various things by incorporating synergy between popular K-Pop artists and character IP businesses."
