Group NewJeans will be the first K-Pop girl group to perform a special stage at Geunjeongjeon Hall in Gyeongbokgung Palace.
On the 21st, "2024 Korea On Stage—New Generation" (hereinafter referred to as "Korea on Stage") will be held at a special stage in front of Heungryemun, Gyeongbokgung Palace, hosted by National Heritage Agency and KBS Korea Broadcasting. Recently, NewJeans completed the pre-shooting of the special stage at Gyeongbokgung Palace.
Geunjeongjeon Hall is a palace building that held a significant national ceremony during the Joseon Dynasty and is now an important national heritage site designated as a national treasure. It is rare that public performances have been held in the ara of Geunjeongjeon Hall since the opening of Gyeongbokgung Palace in 1954, and the National Heritage Administration has opened Geunjeongjeon Hall specifically for the stage of NewJeans, which leads K-Pop in Korea, drawing attention.
NewJeans, who will be the first K-Pop girl group to perform a special stage at Geunjeongjeon, will perform a more special "Cool With You" performance. In particular, the styling that highlights Korean beauty, such as the Hanbok costume with a reinterpretation of the Dansam jogori, Suranchima, and Daeranchima, which were specially made for this stage, Beoseon-style shoes, and goddess-like hair ornaments. In addition, by adding a fantastic performance that illuminates the night scene of Geunjeongjeon, it is expected to convey the greatness of national heritage and the status of K-Pop at the same time.

Meanwhile, the special stage of NewJeans' Geunjeongjeon will be available on KBS2 TV at 11:25 PM on the 21st, and the broadcast will be transmitted to 142 countries through KBS World.
