Belift Lab is informing you.
To our fans who care about ILLIT and K-pop fans all over the world,
When watching CEO Min Heejin's second press conference on May 31, Belift Lab decided that it could no longer delay expressing its position. In response, we would like to summarize Belift Lab's position on CEO Min Heejin in writing and video.
On May 30th, the 50th Civil Division of the Seoul Central District Court decided to cite the provisional injunction on the provisional injunction to prevent HYBE from exercising its voting rights at the extraordinary shareholders' meeting, not on the plagiarism issue. It should not be distorted as if Min Heejin's side had won the ruling on plagiarism.
Apart from the provisional disposition, the criminal case that the company filed against CEO Min Heejin for obstruction of business and defamation is an area that should proceed from now on. In addition, Belift Lab will hold CEO Min Heejin accountable by filling an additional icvil lawsuit today for the damage to artists, Belift Lab members, and participating creators who have been holding their yoke and holding their breath despite making amazing debut achievements that will remain K-pop history.
CEO Min Heejin used an innocent rookie group as a scapegoat for her own personal gain.
One of the methods of pressuring Min Heejin chose was to demigrate a rookie group with the same HYBE Labels as 'imitators' or 'fake'. This was accompanied not only by controversy over plagiarism but also by unreasonable claims such as obstruction of activities. When asked by a reporter about this, Min Heejin said, "Now (the media or netizens) have to comment further," denying the victims' time and process that they had to endure criticism that they did not have to face due to their remarks.
The disparagement and attacks against Belift Lab artists were based on photos and short videos that were captured, collected, and edited from similar scents without the context of the entir content. There was no proper verification as to whether the so-called "original" that CEO Min Heejin mentioned as plagiarism was indeed the original work created by CEO Min Heejin, or whether it was actually a production made by Belift Lab and the issue was raised. Raising the issue of plagiarism in an official setting without even providing reasonable grounds for copyright infringement is not the right way to raise an issue for someone in a responsible position as a creator and representative for a label.
Although CEO Min Heejin's allegations were misleading as if they wer true, EO Min Heejin has not revealed the detailed position until now due to expectations that CEO Min Heejin would correct the issue herself, but CEO Min Heejin still insists on her unilateral position repeatedly, such as misleading the meaning of the provisional disposition citation as if all of CEO Min Heejin's claims had been recognized by the court. In response, CEO Min Heejin will produce and release a video containing our postion.
We express regret that by insisting on plagiarism as a means of securing personal gain, it is having a negative impact on popular culture as a whole
The video produe by Belift Lab contains an analysis of the problems of CEO Min Heejin's plagiarism claim and the impact of this claim on popular culture, including K-pop, in the future. In particular, it will be a clear explanation of CEO Min Heejin's deterrence and fiction, such as marketing activities and holiday Hanbok pictorials, which have already had numerous similar cases from before, as if they were newly created.
It took the efforts of numerous artists and producers to make K-pop what it is today. The difficult path taken by senior artists should become a shortcut for juniors. Only then will a virtuous cycle in which the entire K-pop industry grow further operate. You should not block the path as if it was not your predecessors, you should not block the path ass if not one but yourself should follow that path.
Belift Lab is well aware of suspicions raised against girl group by CEO Min Heejin — allegations that they have many similarities to domestic and foreign artists or that they used certain works as reference — but we don't think this is the basis that CEO Min Heejin actually plagiarized or actively referred to it. I believe that the allegations raised against girl group produced by CEO Min Heejin are also just looking similar by exaggerating the actuality by content that has been intentionally edited to show the similarity. If we do not correct the act of compiling and distorting what should be judged in the professional field to our advantage, this will greatly diminish the creative activities of creators, and CEO Min Heejin will never be free.
At her second press conference, CEO Min Heejin ostensibly made a gesture of reconciliation, but in reality, she did not offer a single apology or reflection to the innocent victims, including artists who suffered from serious malicious comments that amounted to violence that shouldn't have been suffered due to her actions. She blamed this on others, including the media. It is very regrettable.
It is Belift Lab's important responsibility to protect the artists from this incident and restore the honor of the members and staff who devoted themselves to the project. Belift Lab will contine to do its best to this end.
Thank you.

- If they were going to make a video like this, it would of been better not to make it at all
- Wow, I can really understand the atmosphere in that company now
- What kind of agency makes a Wrecka video like this ㅋㅋㅋㅋ?
- Min Heejin really did a great job ㅋㅋㅋㅋ She actually had a way of expressing her side of things properly
- I kept watching it but it's not persuasive at all, and the more they explain things, the more it seems like absolute shit. I kept thinking why are they bringing up so many things?
- Why is an official video like this? It's so absurd. I thought it was a wrecka account
- Why was this video even made? Are they explaining that their group is the same? The more I watch the video, the more I see how similar they are
- Posting a video like thaton their public official account ㅋㅋㅋㅋ This is my first time seeing something like this
- Ah from the very beginning alone it was a fucking mess ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
- Seriously, what the fuck are they doing?
- Anyone who seriously plans something like this should be cut and fired ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
- Instead of presenting this as a stance, wouldn't it be better for a rookie group with only one album to just show how a different style in their next album? Why are they so obsessed with NewJeans?
- They released this to the public world ㅋㅋㅋㅋ They are truly crazy. Even if you do something like this, people's perception won't change. Come to your senses.
- Why are they dousing themselves in gasoline and setting themselves on fire...?
- They should be embarrassed. Instead of using their time to come up with their ow ideas, they were thinking about stuff like this
- Ugh, things were starting to quiten down, but how can an agency do something like this? How is this supposed to help? This only makes people fell more resentful. If I were a fan, I'd be really pissed off
- I feel so bad for NewJeans and ADOR ㅠㅠㅠ Min Heejin really got scammed by that company...ㅠㅠ After over a month of media play and character assassination against Min Heejin, even bowing down and apologizing wouldn't be enough, and yet they respond like this....
- Shouldn't the artists be the most important thing for the agency....? What hurt their ego so much that they felt the need to fan the flames of a dying fire? It's seriously so frustating...
- The agecy is wrecka ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
- Wow, Min Heejin is really pitiful
- That agency is its own worst enemy. Just when you think they're staying quiet, they go and self-destruct. Unbelievable ㅋㅋㅋ
- Whether it's the choreography, teasers, or self-produced content and photo shoots, it all seems like a patched-together imitation of NewJeans
- Ugh... Did they really think people would understand this?
- Seriously. The timing of their statement is so vague ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ If they're going to talk about it, they might as well hold a press conference and either confirm or deny if the accusations are real. I get that they're trying to minimize risks from the company's perspective, but are they unaware that it's actually increasing their risks?
- Countless of artists and producers have contributed to the development of K-pop to make it what it is today. The difficult paths paved by senior artists should serve as shortcuts for juniors. It's not right for someone who didn't create the path themselves, and even used the path paved by seniors, to block others from taking it
- Wow, this is an official video??? It's true that HYBE-Belift Lab is truly lowering the level of K-pop in Korea

[Theqoo - Hot] Belift Lab's group analysis of NewJeans, Blackpink, IVE
NewJeans - Although they are teenaers, they're the object in the imaginations of adults
Blackpink - The perfect celebrity that cannot be approached
IVE - Everyone looks like a doll and is envied like princess
Comments
- This is so rude. I can't believe it was posted on their official account
- Omo they must be crazy.... Are only idiots gathering together to do business over in that company? At this point, I don't think there will be anything to say even if the members of ILLIT sue Belift Lab... At what level....
- ???? I'm a muggle but I can see that this company are full of stupid idiots
- A romance in the imagination of adults???? What a fucking bullshit are they talking about?
- Wow they're even irritating Blackpink and IVE fans too...? Why...? Aren't they trying to make music?
- What the fuck are they saying? Please keep your mouths shut
- ??? Blackpink? Improve your singing skills first
- Is that all the care they have for these groups? If they're going to create idols with that kind of sentiment, just quit the entertainment business altogether
- Wow. They're a really large company, but look at the level of HYBE and Belift Lab... I'm surprised that they are people who are working in K-Pop, their level is lower than what you imagine ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Seriously, if you just look around the community, you'll see tons of posts that specifically and delicately analyze the identity and symbolism with no sense and no intelligence. It's rude to even mention Blackpink and IVE in an unrelated way in such a dirty comment. Apologize, you fucking idiots
- Nothing they're doing is right at all. I'm so fucking frustrated that these fucking idiots are a major K-Pop company
- Whose head this come from? It's so fucking rude
- Oh, they are just so disgusting
- It really gives me a headache to think that people in the entertainment business are doing this
- What on earth were they thinking posting this out?
- NewJeans is a group that came out with the plan to make familiar music like a pair of jeans where all generations can relate and wear without going out of style. This is a very arbitrary interpretation to refer to them as teenagers in adults' imaginations. This is so rude
- Why is that company all so male-orientated?
- So this is how they're interpreting NewJeans' naturalness. Blackpink's confidence and IVE's self-esteem, they're doing it in their own shallow way that they're making ridiculous videos like this.
- What are they doing? They're sitting here trying to figure out what other people's children are doing ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
- The level of that company is all revealed with those three lines alone... Oh my god
- This entertainment company can't even properly analyze other idol groups or understand their target audience. They don't seem to do anything properly
- Why are other groups being brought in? Why are they doing that?
- This is why men shouldn't produce

[Enter-Talk] Wow did you see HYBE's rebuttal video that just released...?
It's not a wrecka video, it's a Belift Lab 'official' video uploaded today...^^
And now they're even dragged NMIXX in
+ Not only NMIXX but also Blackpink was brought in ㅋㅋㅋ The person who even directed Blackpink sniped HYBE = The person who was rooting for Min Heejin. This is crazy ㅋㅋㅋ
The comments are going crazy too... Is the agency intentionally causing chaos? The public sentiment is plummeting... And we know how sensitive fandoms are to controversies? Yet, the agency here is uploading this kind of video...?
While Starship is handling the situation calmly... What is HYBE doing while their subsidiary agency is trying to manage this controversy while receiving ridicule from people?
++ Oh, I just saw a music critic's perspective too... ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ What is HYBE going to do...?
Belift Lab's video is the absolute worst
+++ Wow the director of Blackpink also posted an Instagram a while ago ㅜ ㅋㅋㅋㅋ "Completely different"... What should HYBE do now?

- HYBE is just like one huge wrecker now
- I can't believe that's an official video ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
- A company who loved wreckers so much that they became one
- Happening in real-time, a NMIXX fan got so angry that they sent an email to JYP's legal team complaining about HYBE's video as a 'wrecka YouTuber spreading the false facts'. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ How many enemies are you making, HYBE? ^^ This is legendary ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
- HYBE really doesn't have any remaining straws to grasp on now. Seriously...
- It's funny. They brought in Blackpink to drive the public opinion overseas, but Blackpink's director criticized them for being completely different ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
- This is super fucking annoying
- No but aren't they just straight-up wreckers? They're seriously the same as one
- Everything in that video is so funny. The people crying. They even included the article about Wonhee's poor condition ㅠ It's driving me crazy
- From the start, Min Heejin raised the plagiarism issue regarding "ILLIT" through internal e-mails, but HYBE suddenly shifted the blame on her as betrayal, and they initiated negative publicity, which led to the controversy. And regarding the conflict during the debut of Le Sserafim, HYBE was the first to use Dispatch to spread rumors, falsely claiming that Min Heejin stole the members from Source Music and caused a stir. I wonder why those individuals feel so unjustly treated. If they had just stayed quiet, wouldn't all of this have never happened?
- It's funny how they've tried to counter every ridiculous claim, yet conveniently ignored the suspicions of plagiarism from these shopping mall pictures and them following NewJeans' social media hate accounts
- HYBE's self-destruction is so funny
- This is official? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I have nothing to say
- HYBE's official enemies - Aespa, NewJeans, Baemon, NMIXX
- I saw the word "ILLIT core" today for the first time in my life
- For your information, it's not just NMIXX that came out. Sunmi, GFriend, IZ*ONE were all very evenly mentioned
- The funniest thing is that all the material that HYBE brought out as evidence were stuff was directed by Min Heejin in the past
