It held an unusual "visit reservation" as it were trying to prevent safety accidentss caused by excessive open-run competition, but it took just 20 minutes to close. It is a pop-up store "How Sweet Pop-up store" introduced by NewJeans in partnership with IPX (formerly Line Friends).
The pop-up event was organized to commemorate the release of NewJeans' new single "How Sweet" and began on the 5th at Line Friends Square in Sinsa-dong, Seoul. Acccording to IPX, which collaborated with "How Sweet Pop-up," pre-visit reservations on the first day of the official opening record sold out within 20 minutes, realizing its popularity.
In relation to the pop-up store, IPX explained that it has maximized "Old School Hip Hop," the dominant mood of "How Sweet" with the reproduction of a retro-style record shop. The highlight of the pop-up, which runs until the 17th, is the rabbit character, which is like a symbol of NewJeans and their fandom Bunnies, and it has expanded beyond ornamental MD to various products to suits the NewJeans' trend of pursuing commercial MD.
Since its debut, NewJeans has been introducing derivates that rely on brilliant ideas and is also called the "MD goddess." Starting with the pop-up in Korea, a "big pop-up" is also expected.
Through "Supernatural," which will be held in conjunction with Japan's official debut on the 26th, it is poised to achieve "MD luxury goods" by collaborating with famous local pop artists such as Takashi Murakami and Fujiwara.
Takashi Murakami and Fujiwara Hiroshi are alreadi calling out explosive "purchase inquiries" by releasing images and costumes through music video and other videos that were presented before their official local debut. The specific aspects of MD, which they collaborated with NewJeans, still do not reveal exact reality, as if directly proportional to their fame.
Meanwhile, NewJeans is showing off its reputation as a global top tier with its new single "How Sweet," which was released first in Korea last month prior to its official Japanese debut.
